Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for everything you send, say, sell, or generate on avaTOK.

Last updated August 5, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to every part of avaTOK: one-to-one and group messaging, audio and video calls, live video, marketplace listings, live consultations, and our AI features. It sits alongside our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. If you break these rules, we may limit, suspend, or terminate your access.

Depending on where you are, your agreement is with Ava Global International Pvt Ltd (Mumbai, India) or Ava Global International, Inc. (Delaware, USA). Either way, this policy applies to you.

1. Who this applies to

Everyone who uses avaTOK — senders and receivers, buyers and sellers, consultants and clients, viewers and hosts. It applies to public content and to private communications, and it applies to what you do through our AI features as much as to what you type yourself.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

Do not use avaTOK to do, share, host, sell, or promote any of the following.

Harm to people

  • Harassment and bullying — targeting, demeaning, stalking, or repeatedly contacting someone who does not want to hear from you.
  • Hate — attacking or dehumanising people based on race, ethnicity, caste, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar characteristic.
  • Threats and violence — threatening, inciting, glorifying, or coordinating violence, or threatening to expose someone's private information.
  • Self-harm — encouraging or instructing others in self-harm, suicide, or dangerous behaviour.

Sexual content and exploitation

  • Any sexual content involving a minor is absolutely prohibited, in any format, including AI-generated or drawn depictions. See our Child Safety Standards for our full position and how to report.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery — sharing, threatening to share, or soliciting intimate images of a person without their consent, including images created or altered to look like them.
  • Sexual services — offering, requesting, or arranging commercial sexual services through any avaTOK surface.
  • Sexually explicit material in public surfaces, profiles, listings, or unsolicited messages.

Deception and abuse of the platform

  • Spam — bulk, repetitive, or unsolicited messages, calls, invitations, listings, or engagement-inflating behaviour.
  • Scams and fraud — phishing, fake offers, advance-fee schemes, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, money laundering, or manipulating payouts, referrals, or promotions.
  • Impersonation — pretending to be another person, business, or organisation, or falsely claiming an affiliation, endorsement, or professional qualification.
  • Platform abuse — scraping, automated access we have not authorised, probing or bypassing security, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service.
  • Malware — distributing viruses, spyware, ransomware, or links intended to compromise a device or account.

Illegal and infringing material

  • Illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons, stolen data, forged documents, and regulated items you are not licensed to sell.
  • Gambling, financial products, or other regulated offerings where you do not hold the required licences.
  • Intellectual property infringement — posting or selling content you do not have the rights to. Rights holders can report infringement through our DMCA / Copyright process.
  • Sharing another person's private information — address, phone number, identity documents, financial details — without their consent.

3. Live calls, video, and consultations

Everything above applies during a live call or session, including exposing yourself, showing prohibited content on camera, or using a call to harass someone. If you record a call, our Recording & Consent policy applies. Consultations have additional rules in the Live Consultation Terms.

4. Using the AI features

avaTOK includes AI features, including the Ava assistant and an AI receptionist that can answer calls on your behalf. The rules above apply to anything you generate with them. In particular, do not:

  • Prompt AI features to produce content that would be prohibited if you posted it yourself — including abusive, hateful, sexual, or exploitative material.
  • Attempt to circumvent, jailbreak, or disable safety measures, filters, or usage limits.
  • Use AI output to impersonate a real person, clone someone's voice or likeness without their consent, or generate misleading content presented as real.
  • Automate the AI features for bulk outreach, scripted calling, or resale as your own service.
  • Use the AI receptionist to deceive callers about who or what they are speaking to where disclosure is required by law.

AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for what you send, publish, or act on, whether you wrote it or an AI feature did.

5. Accounts

  • Your account is for you. Do not share your login or let someone else use your account.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to evade limits, suspensions, blocks, or promotions, or to inflate ratings and engagement.
  • Do not buy, sell, rent, or transfer an account.
  • Do not create an account if you are under the minimum age for your country, or if we have previously terminated your access.
  • Legitimate separate accounts — for example a personal account and a business account, or accounts for different family members on a shared device — are fine, as long as you are not using them to evade enforcement.

6. Enforcement

We review reports and may act on what we find. What we do depends on how serious the violation is, whether it is repeated, and the harm involved. We may take any of these steps, in any order, and we may skip straight to termination for severe violations:

  • Warning — a notice explaining what broke the rules.
  • Content removal — taking down a post, listing, profile detail, or message we can access.
  • Feature limits — restricting calling, messaging strangers, selling, publishing, or AI usage for a period.
  • Suspension — temporarily disabling the account.
  • Permanent termination — closing the account and, where we can, preventing re-registration.

We may also withhold or reverse payouts connected to fraudulent activity, and we may report conduct to law enforcement or preserve and disclose information where required by law or valid legal process. Severe violations — child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence, serious fraud — usually mean immediate permanent termination without a warning first.

Enforcement is not a judgment about you as a person, and it is not always perfect. If we get it wrong, tell us — see the appeal section below.

7. How to report a violation

You can report an account, a conversation, a listing, or a piece of content from inside the app, and you can block any account immediately, which stops their calls and messages reaching you. You can also email support@avatok.ai. Tell us what happened, where, and when, and include screenshots or a link if you have one. We review reports we receive and act where a violation is confirmed.

For child safety concerns, see Child Safety Standards. For copyright, see DMCA / Copyright. Users in India can also use our Grievance Redressal process. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — avaTOK is not an emergency service.

8. How to appeal

If we limit, suspend, or terminate your account and you think we made a mistake, email support@avatok.ai from the address on the account. Include your handle and anything that helps explain the situation. We will look at the decision again and tell you the outcome. Users in India may escalate through Grievance Redressal.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the product and the law change. We will post the updated version here and revise the date above.
