Help build the platform that pays creators.
Avatok is a small team based out of Newark, Delaware, building a creator platform that doesn't treat creators as inventory for an ad system. We'll be hiring soon. There are no open roles listed today.
What we're actually trying to do.
The creator economy is gigantic and badly designed. Algorithmic platforms run on ad CPMs that systematically underpay creators while teaching audiences that good work should be free. Tools that try to fix this — Patreon, masterclass platforms, Calendly-stitched solo stacks — each solve a slice but never the whole.
We're building the whole. A platform where creators run live events, take 1:1 bookings, sell into a marketplace, get paid the next business day, and don't pay for any of the above with ad attention from their audience.
We're Delaware-incorporated (AvaGlobal International, Inc.), small, deliberately not VC-on-fire, and willing to be unfashionable about profitability. If that sounds appealing, the form below is where to start.

Engineering
Full-stack TypeScript on Next.js + Supabase + Stripe. We care about backend correctness, taste in UI, and the willingness to debug a payments edge case at 11pm. Senior IC and Staff levels expected to open first.
Design
Product design with strong opinions about brand. Our visual language is intentional and we want a designer who can hold the line on it. Bonus for motion or 3D.
Trust & safety
Policy + ops. Define the rules, build the moderation queue, work alongside engineering on the tooling that scales it. Background in trust ops at another marketplace or social platform a plus.
Creator partnerships
You know the creator economy from the creator side. Help us find, onboard, and grow with the creators who define the platform. Heavy comms work.
Operations
Finance, legal, HR-adjacent ops, vendor management. Becoming material as the team gets past a dozen people.

What to expect, plainly.
- Remote-first, with a US-based team. Roles open globally are possible later but not the default.
- Small team. Anyone we hire ships product impact week one, not month six.
- Competitive cash + equity. Specific bands will be on each role post when it opens.
- Health, dental, vision (US). 401(k) matching (US). Real PTO that we expect you to actually take.
- Long-form writing culture. We use specs more than slide decks. Reading and writing are part of the job.
- Calm by default. We push hard on the work we choose; we don't manufacture urgency.
