Every product on Avatok ships with two fee-bearer modes. They are mathematically identical from Avatok's side — the difference is what number the viewer sees at checkout, and where the fee gets subtracted.
The price tag is what the viewer pays.
Viewer sees $100, pays $100. We deduct the platform fee from your earnings on settlement. Your bank deposit is $100 minus the fee. Best for offerings where a clean, round price is part of the marketing.
Add the platform fee on top.
You list a price; we add the platform fee to it at checkout. Viewer sees the combined total. Your bank deposit is your full listed price. Best when you have a take-home target in mind and want it to come out exact.
How a dollar travels to you.
Booking confirmed
A viewer pays for a 1:1 booking, a live event ticket, or a group session seat. The full amount is captured by Stripe and placed in escrow on the platform side. For 1:1 bookings, an equal hold is placed on the wallet of the fee-bearing party.
Session takes place
Live event runs, 1:1 call happens, group session meets. Stream lifecycle events confirm that the session actually started and ended (you cannot earn for a no-show — the no-show party is charged the policy, not the price).
End-of-call disposition
Within seconds of the session ending, our reconciler decides the outcome: full release to creator, partial release on a short call, refund on a no-host, or backstop refund on a no-show. For 1:1 bookings, holds expire automatically after 48 hours past scheduled end if reconciliation has not completed.
Funds land in your wallet
Your share of the booking — minus the platform fee if you are in creator-pays mode — moves from escrow to your wallet's available balance. You can see the line item with a clickable timeline (booking → hold → release → wallet credit).
Daily Stripe payout
Once daily, Stripe sweeps your available balance to your connected bank account. The deposit typically appears the next business day. You can change cadence (daily, weekly, monthly) or trigger a manual payout from the wallet UI.
KYC, once.
Every paying creator completes a one-time identity check before the first payout. We use Stripe Identity — same vendor that verifies Uber drivers and Instacart shoppers. Most people finish in under five minutes.
Required by US financial regulations (we are AvaGlobal International, Inc., a Delaware corporation, and we operate under those rules). It is also how we keep abuse, fraud, and account takeovers out of your payout pipeline.

- Your tax info for the country you are paid in — for US creators that is a W-9; for non-US that is a W-8BEN. We collect this through Stripe at first payout.
