Pricing & Fees

What you pay on avaTOK, what is deducted, and where each figure is shown.

Last updated August 5, 2026

This page explains how pricing and fees work on avaTOK — our messaging, audio and video calling, live video calling, marketplace, and live consultancy services. It sits alongside our Terms of Service, Tokens & Wallet policy, Payouts & Withdrawals policy, and Refunds & Cancellations policy.

1. Who charges you

Which company handles your transaction depends on where you are:

  • Ava Global International Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, India — contracts with and serves customers in India, and handles India transactions and payouts under Indian law and GST.
  • Ava Global International, Inc., Delaware, USA — contracts with and serves international (non-India) customers, and handles international transactions and payouts.

2. The screen you confirm on is the authoritative price

Prices, token costs, commissions, and fees are shown in the app before you confirm. Where they are inclusive or exclusive of tax is indicated at checkout. The figures shown on that screen apply to your transaction — this page describes the types of charge, not the amounts, because they can vary by country, currency, payment method, and listing.

3. Top-ups and tokens

Top-ups are converted into tokens at a fixed rate of 1 token = 1 US cent (US$0.01) — 100 tokens are US$1.00. Where you pay in a currency other than USD, the exchange rate used is the one shown at the time of the top-up. Tokens are then used to pay for AI features, marketplace purchases, and consultations. The token cost of each feature or service is shown before you commit to it.

The same fixed rate applies in reverse: unused tokens can be withdrawn at 1 token = US$0.01, less the transfer fee and any tax. See Payouts & Withdrawals.

4. Tax

For customers in India, GST applies where the law requires it and is shown at checkout, either included in the displayed price or added on top, as indicated. For customers outside India, any sales tax, VAT, or equivalent that we are required to collect is shown in the same way.

Where Indian tax law requires withholding on marketplace payouts — for example TDS — we may withhold the required amount from a payout. See Payouts & Withdrawals. You remain responsible for your own tax position.

5. Platform commission on earnings

Where you earn on avaTOK — by selling a digital service on the marketplace or by providing a live consultation — we deduct a platform commission from the amount the customer pays. The commission applicable to a listing or booking is shown before you publish or accept it, and it is reflected in what is credited to your balance.

Commission is separate from the withdrawal transfer fee. Earnings are credited to your token balance; moving that balance to your bank is a withdrawal.

6. Withdrawal transfer fee

Withdrawing unused tokens is subject to a transfer fee, plus GST where it applies in India. Both are shown at the time of withdrawal, before you confirm. Your own bank or payment provider may apply its own charge on top, which we do not control. Full detail is on the Payouts & Withdrawals page.

7. App-store fees

Where you buy through the Android or iOS app, the purchase is processed by Google Play or Apple and their commercial terms apply to that transaction. The price you see in the store is the price you pay; store commission is deducted from what reaches us, not added to your bill. Refunds for those purchases are handled by the store — see Refunds & Cancellations.

8. Currency and conversion

Prices are normally shown in INR for customers in India and in USD or another supported currency for international customers. Tokens themselves are denominated in US cents — 1 token = US$0.01 — regardless of the currency you pay or are paid in. If your payment method is in a different currency from the one you are charged in, your bank, card issuer, or app store may apply its own conversion rate and a foreign-transaction fee. Those are set by them and are outside our control, so the amount on your statement may differ slightly from the amount shown in the app.

9. Where each charge appears

10. Changes to pricing

We may change prices, token costs, commissions, and fees. Where a change affects you, we will give notice — in the app, by email, or by updating this page — before it takes effect, as far as is reasonably practicable. Continuing to use a paid feature after a change takes effect means the new pricing applies to you. A change does not retroactively alter a transaction you have already completed.

11. Changes to this page

We may update this page from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above.
