The full policy
This is the plain-English version for creators. The binding terms are in Payouts & Withdrawals — that page is authoritative if anything here differs from it.
Payouts are still in testing
avaTOK’s payment gateway application is still under review, so withdrawals are limited to invited users, processed manually, and may be delayed or paused. Don’t treat avaTOK as a source of income during this period — see Payouts & Withdrawals §1.
Who can withdraw
Any account holder with an unused token balance — tokens you haven’t spent — can request a withdrawal, as long as your account is in good standing and withdrawal is permitted where you live. Tokens already spent on a feature or a booking, and free or bonus tokens, can’t be withdrawn. Withdrawal can be unavailable while an account is suspended, under review, or has an open payment dispute. See Payouts & Withdrawals §2.
UPI payouts in India
For India, payouts go out in INR to a verified UPI address linked to your own Indian bank account — the UPI address and the account behind it must belong to you, and avaTOK can decline a payout to someone else’s account. Because a token is fixed at ₹1, there’s no currency conversion: 500 unused tokens is ₹500 before the transfer fee and any tax. Double-check the UPI address before you submit it — a payout sent to a valid but wrong address you supplied may not be recoverable. See Payouts & Withdrawals §3.
Outside India, payouts aren’t available while avaTOK is testing.
Verification comes first
Before you can request a withdrawal, you need to accept the creator agreement, complete document (ID) verification, and add a UPI address, which the avaTOK team verifies. After you add or change a UPI address there’s a short waiting period before it can be used, and during testing each request is reviewed and paid manually. A payout can be held or declined until these checks are complete — see Payouts & Withdrawals §5.
Minimum balance
A minimum withdrawable balance may apply. Where it does, it’s shown to you right on the withdrawal screen — check there for the current figure rather than relying on a number from elsewhere. See Payouts & Withdrawals §8.
Transfer fee, GST, and what actually lands in your account
The Payouts & Withdrawals policy (§6) allows for a transfer fee, plus GST where it applies in India, and your own bank may add a charge. During testing the withdrawal request doesn’t yet show a fee or tax breakdown, so if you want to know what will be deducted, ask support@avatok.ai before you withdraw. See also GST and tax on your payouts.
Timelines
Any timeframe shown to you is an estimate, not a guarantee. Verification, avaTOK’s payment partners, and your own bank all affect it, and public holidays or banking cut-offs can add delay. See Payouts & Withdrawals §9.
If a payout fails or is returned
If a payout fails or bounces back — an inactive UPI address, a closed bank account, mismatched details — the amount is normally returned to your token balance so you can try again with corrected details. A fee already charged on the failed attempt may not be recoverable, and repeated failures may mean re-verifying your payout account. See Payouts & Withdrawals §10.
Holds and declines
A payout can be delayed, held, reduced, or declined where avaTOK reasonably suspects fraud, money laundering, sanctions exposure, or a breach of the Terms of Service — or where law or a payment partner requires it. Amounts you owe, such as a reversed transaction, can also be set off against a pending payout. See Payouts & Withdrawals §11.
