No-show policy
What happens when one or both parties miss the booked call.
A no-show is when a party doesn't join the booked meeting room within the grace window. Avatok's grace is 10 minutes past the scheduled start.
The four outcomes
- Both parties present: normal disposition runs (full release on a successful call).
- Viewer no-show, creator present: viewer is charged the full price; creator earns the listed price minus the platform fee in creator-pays mode. Viewer can dispute via support if they have a legitimate emergency.
- Host no-show, viewer present: viewer gets a full refund; creator earns nothing. The creator's account picks up a host-no-show strike.
- Both no-show: viewer gets a full refund; creator earns nothing. No strikes either way.
Host no-show consequences
We track host no-shows per creator. Three host no-shows in a rolling 60-day window trigger an account review and a temporary listing freeze on new 1:1 bookings. Confirmed pattern-of-behavior cases result in permanent listing removal.
Genuine emergencies
Things happen. If you no-showed because of a genuine emergency — health, family, natural disaster — write to support@avatok.ai with the booking id. We'll review and adjust the disposition or strike count when warranted.
