Change your password
Reset, rotate, or set a new password.
You can change your password from your profile settings at any time, or reset it via email if you've forgotten it.
Change password (signed in)
Open the user menu → Profile settings → Private settings → Password. Enter your current password, then the new one twice. Save.
Reset password (signed out)
On the sign-in screen click Forgot password?. Enter your email; we send a password-reset link. The link is valid for 30 minutes.
Password requirements
- At least 8 characters.
- At least one uppercase letter and one lowercase letter.
- At least one digit.
- At least one special character.
OAuth-only accounts
If you signed up via Google or GitHub and never set a password, there's no password to change. You can add one from Private settings → Password → Set password; that gives you a second way to sign in.
If you suspect account compromise
Reset immediately. Then sign every other session out: Private settings → Active sessions → Sign out all other sessions. Email support@avatok.ai if anything looks off (charges you didn't make, listings you didn't create).
