Your first booking
Walk through booking a 1:1 session for the first time.
A 1:1 booking on Avatok is a paid scheduled video call between you and a creator. Here's how to make your first one.
1. Find a creator
Open the 1:1 marketplace. Filter by category, language, price, or rating. Each card shows the creator's name, photo, average rating, languages, and price.
2. Pick a time slot
Click a creator card to see their offerings and available time slots. The calendar shows times in your local timezone. Click a slot to select it.
3. Check out
Confirm what you're booking, see the price (including any platform fee in user-pays mode), and pay with a credit card. Your card is charged immediately; the money is held in escrow until the call ends.
4. Join the call
You'll get an email confirmation with a meeting link. A reminder goes out 24 hours and 30 minutes before the start time. Click the link to join — the meeting opens in your browser, no app install needed.
5. After the call
When the call ends, the platform settles automatically. If something went wrong — the creator didn't show, the call disconnected and couldn't reconnect, the delivery didn't match what was promised — see the refund policy.
